Assured Testing Laboratories (ATL) is an independent, fully licensed testing laboratory located in the Greater Lowell Area of Massachusetts. Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Manage, recruit, integrate, and develop high-quality talent that delivers against company goals.
  • Provide developmental feedback and coaching while encouraging a collaborative environment.
  • Establish, communicate, and manage department, team, and individual performance objectives that are consistent with company goals and maximize individual development goals. 
  • Direct the training and scheduling of staff to ensure company and individual performance objectives are met.
  • Within the first six months, select, propose, implement, and validate new assays for the lab to add to its testing portfolio.
  • Work to optimize our current assays to increase throughput and efficiency.
  • Within the first year, select, propose, and implement opportunities to diversify the company’s portfolio (e.g., additional licenses, certifications, grants, and revenue streams).

Qualifications:

  • PhD in chemistry, biology, genomics, microbiology or related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Working knowledge of document control system.
  • Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Programs.
Preferred Experience:
  • Familiarity in processing of plant and biological samples including extraction and qPCR analysis.
  • Experience with gas and/or liquid chromatography as well as mass spectrometry is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, GraphPad Prism).
Additional Requirements:
  • Must meet the requirements set forth in 105 CRM 725.000 and must not have been convicted of an excluded felony offense as defined in 105 CRM 725.030.
  • The ability to speak and read English.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • $120,000-$150,000 per year
